| Since the same questions about the gaiden have been appearing continuously, it has been deemed a good idea to create a thread that answers some of these frequent questions.
Please review this thread if you have any general questions about the gaiden before posting them in the discussion threads, as your question is probably answered here.
What is a gaiden?
A gaiden is a mini-arc in which explores a particular character or event within a series. This current gaiden explores the captaincy of Urahara and the origin of the vizards.
How do I recognize the chapters in the gaiden?
The gaiden began with Chapter -108, and the chapters in the gaiden have been denoted as -10X, with X being some digit less than or equal to 8. The chapter numbers are increasing incrementally one digit at a time, i.e., -108 was followed by -107, followed by -106, etc.
How long will the gaiden last?
In an interview, Kubo said that this gaiden should last for about 8 chapters. So, the last chapter of gaiden will either be -101 or -100.

What time does the gaiden take place?
For chapters -108 through -105, the gaiden is set 110 years prior to the current action. -Cos'è una GAIDEN?
Una Gaiden è una mini serie in cui vengono messi in luce fatti o personaggi particolari che una diretta correlazione con la storia.
Questa attuale Gaiden di Bleach analizza le vicende legate al tempo in cui Urahara era un capitano del Gotei e, in più, mette luce sulla nascita dei Vizard.
-Come faccio a capire quali sono i capitoli che fanno parte della Gaiden?
In questa Gaiden di Bleach tutti i capitoli sono evidenziati dal segno meno (-) e li troverete scritti in questa forma: -10X, dove la X sta ad indicare un numero pari o minore di 8 (la successione è decrescente, quindi dal -108 a scendere).
Esempi di questi capitoli: -108, -107, -106 ecc.
-Quando finirà la Gaiden?
Kubo ha detto in un'intervista che la Gaiden dovrebbe aggirarsi attorno gli 8 capitoli, quindi l'ultimo capitolo dovrebbe essere il -101, o al più il -100.

Kubo rivale inoltre in quell'intervista che a breve il capitano Unohana dovrà affrontare presto una battaglia.
-Quando è ambientata la Gaiden?
Tra il capitolo -108 e il capitolo -105 la Gaiden narra gli eventi risalenti a 110 anni prima delle vicende correnti.
Nel capitolo -104 c'è un salto di 9 anni rispetto ai precedenti, e i fatti risalgono quindi a 101 anni prima delle vicende correnti*.
